Last month, more than 60 summer interns from ReliaQuest spent the day volunteering at JA Biztown and Finance Park in Tampa Bay — simulated learning environments where students gain hands-on experience in workforce skills and financial literacy. Interns guided students through financial scenarios and assisted them in their assigned roles throughout the day.

Samuel Izakson, a GreyMatter Operations intern, spent the day stationed at the ReliaQuest storefront in Biztown. He shared, “We talked about how cybersecurity professionals protect businesses from digital threats and showed them simple tasks that help keep information secure and reliable in a business setting.”

ReliaQuest’s mission to make security possible extends beyond technology. It includes a focus on empowering future generations with early exposure to cybersecurity and career opportunities in the industry, helping students uncover their passion and potential in the field. Through its partnership with Junior Achievement, ReliaQuest is furthering the organization's mission while educating students about cybersecurity and career opportunities within the industry.

Maathangi Prassanna, a GreyMatter Operations intern, attended Biztown when she was in fifth grade. She said, “I was here ten years ago, and I had a blast in my job for the day. Now, I’m so excited to give this opportunity back to the community. Junior Achievement is helping students develop business skills and better understand how to manage money, and I’m thankful to be a part of that impact.”

Volunteers in Finance Park, Junior Achievements learning experience that teaches middle school students about financial literacy, career exploration and money management, spent the day helping students complete various tasks from balancing a budget to choosing stocks for the day.

Prianna Gajjar, a GreyMatter Operations intern, explained: “Watching students be curious and lead the activities really demonstrated how JA is making a valuable impact by helping students grow in knowledge and confidence.”

Junior Achievement is one of the world’s largest and most-impactful youth-serving nonprofits, delivering hands-on, immersive learning in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial health for millions of students across the globe. ReliaQuest proudly plays a part in JA programs in the communities of each of its six global operating centers in Tampa, Salt Lake City, Vegas, London, Dublin, and Pune, India.

There is no time like the present to educate students about the cybersecurity industry, and through its partnership with Junior Achievement ReliaQuest is empowering students worldwide, equipping them with skills and knowledge to shape the future of cybersecurity.

ReliaQuest is proud to continue partnering with an organization that is changing the lives of students in the next generation.
