Slow Down to Speed Up with Dr. Lindsey Hamilton - IMG Academy, Head of Mental Performance

Dr. Lindsey Hamilton not only has the demanding role of Head of Mental Performance at the prestigious IMG Academy - she is a wife, a mom of 3 kids, and just got her doctorate. How does she find time to do it all at such a high level? She’s learned that if you want to add, you’ve got to subtract first.

Dr. Lindsey Hamilton is the Head of Mental Performance at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL where she leads and develops a team of 15 mental performance coaches that oversees the mental skills development of over 1,400 student-athletes across eight sports, including those who represent their national federations in competition. She also leads the IMG Institute through developing and delivering high performance mindset training to executive level business professionals and corporate teams interested in optimizing leadership and enhancing organizational excellence. Lindsey has worked with elite executive teams from organizations including VISA, Marriott, Nestle, and OpenBet, among others.

In her work with athletes and executives, Lindsey customizes programs for teams, individuals, and organizations striving to rise up to their full potential. Through interactive and innovative training methodologies, Lindsey engages her clients in developing the skills and strategies of high performance as it relates to the unique demands of each client’s working environment.

Lindsey holds two bachelor’s degrees from Chapman University in psychology and sociology, a master’s degree from the University of Utah in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in psychosocial aspects of sport, and a doctorate in kinesiology from UNC Greensboro. She is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Lindsey relentlessly encourages those around her to pursue the best version of themselves and have a fun time doing it.
